WHO AM I?

Digital Print, Bleach | 2017 | Dimension Variable

Sometimes it’s better to get up close and personal with the ugly side of life, it can be a pretty thing too. Finding self-identity, and questioning about the disappearance.

This project is a series of self-searching. It is a form of exchange; like a conversation, it is organic. Showing my intimate, personal visual language and thoughts through photography. The whole process of it is a form of quiet expression. Manipulating these photos in a way that emulates physiological processes, deliberately encouraging “fault”, “blemishes”, “disappearance”, and “emptiness”.

Who am I? What is disappearance?

A question everyone at some point will ask themselves. Self Identity is not restricted to the present. It includes past selves and future selves. Future selves or “possible selves” represent individuals’ ideas of what we might become, what we would like to become, and what we are afraid of becoming. Often they correspond to hopes, fears, standards, goals, and threats.
