To me, art is about fusing beauty with a purpose, emotional engagement that fulfills need and desire.

 

Being exposed to the moments of everyday life, I'm inspired by the assessments of the fundamentals of the natural world. When we are detached from our surroundings, we will become more attuned and sensitive to it. Through this momentary solace, we will begin to make subtle discoveries.

 

Hence this painting speaks both to others and myself about the beauty that exists. It is a painting of a torn corals photograph. There is an urgent need to protect these vanishing ecosystems.
